How will the Packers do with Aaron Rodgers?

They have the youngest team in the NFL with and I think they will be better than last year at every position except QB. If Aaron Rodgers has a good year, I think they can be Superbowl Contenders, and even if he doesn't play that well they can be a threat in the playoffs. Just look at how well the Chargers did even though Philip Rivers was thier QB. What do you think?

Well lets look at the facts...

Aaron Rodgers isnt Brett Favre. He isnt gonna try to be him. He wont have the experiance and he wont (not many do) have his cannon of an arm. What he does have is mobility that Favre hasnt had in years to take off with the ball instead of throwing it away when no one is open. This will mean more first downs and something else for defenses to fear.

The Packers are coming back with pretty much the same talented team that was a play or two away from getting to the superbowl minus a couple players(obviously) Plus, they will have 3 draft picks in the first 60 so hopefully Ted will pick up some new talent for Rodgers to work with as well.

They face Seattle, Jacksonville, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, Dallas,and Tennessee. All these teams are playoff teams from last year. Also the other teams they face are the Saints, Panthers, who can be dangerous as well as Houston and Atlanta(who arent very good) and the division rival teams which are always good games. This is definatly the most challenging aspect of his starting season. He has a hard schedule to deal with. Then again so does the rest of the NFC north due to all 4 teams pretty much playing the same teams all year.

Aaron Rodgers doesnt have alot of experiance but the way people are talking about him youde think hes a rookie. Hes been learning the Packers offense for 3 years now and learning the ins and outs from one of the greatest QBs to ever play in Brett Favre. He almost brought the Packers back in the Dallas game last year when Favre got hurt.

If he can come in and play McCarthys game he will be successful. Its a low risk, high percentage offense where the QB drops back and strikes with quick short passes and lets the talented WRs fight for yards after the catch. Thats why Favre had so few INTs last year. Plus there will be no doubt who the starting running back will be and if he plays like he did last year Adrian Peterson isnt the only running back people will be raving about from the NFC north. Thats gonna take alot of pressure off of Rodgers.

If Rodgers can stay healthy and plays the game his way, hell take this team to the playoffs and possibly farther. Given the facts, they have a good chance to do better then last year.
