Don't you love how players like Adrian Beltre and Alex Gonzalez will get snubbed in the All Star voting?

Simply because of the fans who will vote for Evan Longoria and Derek Jeter even though their stats pale in comparison to Beltre and Gonzalez? Do you think it's time that we let someone other than FANS choose All-Stars seeing as how it decides the World Series home field advantage?

It doesn't matter because Beltre will probably get picked to the team anyway and deserves to. Both him and Longoria are great players. I don't consider Gonzalez one of the best shortstops in the AL despite his flukey power numbers though. I think Jeter and Andrus deserve to go at SS even if Gonzalez has a few more homers this year.

Taking away fan voting may make it more fair but would also take away a lot of fan interest in the game so I don't think it's worth it.
