What was involved in the suspended Ohio State players' pledge to stay next season?
Coach Tressel required all five suspended players to "pledge" that they will remain at Ohio State next season in order to play in the Sugar Bowl.
Are the terms of this pledge known? What will happen to the athletes if they choose to enter the draft? What's going to stop them from signing with an agent?
To me it sounds about as legitimate as a pinky swear.
He gave them an opportunity to be men, and accept responsibility for their actions. If they don't do it, it's on them. I doubt they will be welcome on the sidelines or at the luncheons if they break their word. It may not seem like a big deal, but it kinda is.
